De-Icing
liquid de-icing works instantly on contact, unlike rock salt, which needs time to absorb moisture before it can start melting ice. Using liquid de-icing can reduce rock salt usage by nearly 30% and in some instances up to 75%.
It is also cleaner, since brine has a tackifier that binds it to the pavement it will not leave the pavement till it is washed off. Unlike salt which ends up rusting doors, ruining carpet, and tracked into buildings.
While liquid de-icing may be new to some it is not new to us. Ownership and management is on the frontlines of liquid de-icing education. Brine has a corrosion inhibitor which means less rust and ruined concrete.
